Autism and ADHD Assessment

Screening and diagnostic assessments for neurodiverse conditions

It is estimated that in the UK approximately 1 in 100 people has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and 4 in 100 people have ADHD. However, many people, including children and young people, often experience long delays in waiting times from referral to accessing a diagnostic assessment.

In December 2024 only 4.6% of patients in the NHS with an open referral for suspected autism were seen within the recommended 13 weeks target and patients are frequently waiting over 10 months for a first appointment for an ADHD diagnosis even within the private sector.

Our Autism and ADHD Assessment Service provides private screening assessments and comprehensive diagnostic assessments for adults and children suspected of having a neurodiverse condition without being placed on a waiting list.

The service we provide aligns with NICE guidelines (the guidance used by NHS services) and often includes additional assessments to ensure a correct diagnosis is made. Each assessment is led by a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist who has undertaken additional ‘gold standard’ specialist training to differentiate autism and ADHD from other potential mental health concerns.

To book an initial screening assessment with one of our Clinical Psychologists or to find out more about our service, please use the form located on our contact page and a member of our team will be in touch.

Stephanie J

 30th March 2023

[Clinical Psychologist] was welcoming and friendly and supported us in assessing our sons' behaviours.

She made sure she took everything on board that we said and re-assessed everything following meetings/conversations.

She was flexible, approachable and caring.

We are pleased we contacted [Turnaround Psychological Services] for support in assessing our son, who was found to be on the autistic spectrum, however even if he wasn't I feel [Clinical Psychologist's] guidance and advice would have still helped.
